Disclaimer: Baldr is only willing to help those devoted to him, don’t come to him unless you can communicate with spirits, and don’t ask for his help if you have not built a relationship with him first. That being said, he is friendly and willing to work with practitioners who have gotten their feet wet. The information in this article was channeled with some occult friends, who are Norse pagan/practitioners.
Baldr is a Norse god of fire. He is a spirit made of the energy of fire, who mainly uses fire in his magick. Baldr does not like destruction. He is a very kind divinity, one who can be called for emotional healing, and can open and refine the psychic senses. Baldr is an excellent spirit to call for protections and protective workings. He will keep harm from your door, and he will protect you. Baldr can teach about the different magickal applications of fire, and can increase both your energetic resonance with fire, and increasing the amount of fire in your energetic body. Baldr can teach and make you better at Pyrokinesis. His Rune is Beorc/Birch. Baldr can guide the witch on astral travel, as well as developing an understanding of the astral. He can help you better identify egregores and imposter spirits. Baldr can also be called for the fortification of the immune system. Baldr can guide one through the Norse current, and help one develop a better understanding of it, especially through astral travel. Baldr wants to be seen as an equal, he doesn’t desire to be seen as higher than another person. Baldr was also once a physical being apparently.
Summoning Chant to Baldr – Fenzir Shenzicua (Fin-zere Shin-zee-coo-uh)
Offerings: Time – Baldr likes 1 on 1 conversation, aswell as being updated on your progression. Incense – White Sage, Jasmine, Sandalwood (in that order). Candles – Tealights, pillar candles, etc. (The fire is what counts). Baldr likes incense on occasion, but he heavily prefers time, as do most in the Norse pantheon.
