Fenrir: The Savage Wolf

Disclaimer: this information was channeled in ritual, with 2 of our Norse practitioner friends.

Fenrir is both an unrelenting force to be reckoned with and a friend to those who are worthy of his companionship. He is serious about his work, but can be laid back if there is no serious situation at hand. Fenrir is a great deity to reach out to.

To begin with, Fenrir is the perfect deity to work with if you are a physical shape-shifter. Although he prefers working with wolf phenotypes (the animal in which someone can turn into), he is pleased to help any shifter who is serious about their progress. Firstly, one way that Fenrir can help shifters is by helping them to grow an affinity for their phenotype. Another way that Fenrir can help shifters is by making the physical shift from human into the animalistic form easier.

Fenrir can also aid the practitioner in the many forms of chaos magick. “Less control is more control.” – Fenrir

Furthermore, Fenrir encompasses the idea of the warrior and can help the practitioner learn to unleash the inner warrior. With this in mind, Fenrir can cause the practitioner to embody the principles of the warrior both physically and mentally. Fenrir will help a practitioner learn the warrior mentality by helping the practitioner learn how to overcome the many obstacles that they may endure. Also, Fenrir is quite blunt and can help people learn how to not deal with other people’s nonsense. Additionally, Fenrir will also impart courage within the practitioner, and help you form an iron will.

For Summoning Fenrir:

To call Fenrir for either an evocation or invocation (Calls on Vanaheim and the deities of it, but Fenrir comes out when you specify it is he you want) –
